I've read some insanity on here in my time but trying to argue that giving someone a nutmeg in a football game is a sign of a woman beater/rapist is taking the piss 😂😂😂

Not quite but typical profile of misogynistic types is an underlying narcissistic personality disorder often featuring arrogance and grandiose opinion of oneself to disguise/compensate for deep seated insecurity and inadequacies.

But you have a point, on its own dissing our Marky and generally being a "billy big bollox" is not enough to condemn him completely. That said, I am bias and anyone not paying Noble and West Ham respect has to be a demon :-)

Sir Alf:

That comes damn close to saying

being good at football = danger sign for sex case

That Reading bloke who pulled up his socks to take the piss out of Jack Collison needs to go on a register right now!

Conjecture aside, it will be the case that he is receiving the best legal advice available, so every possible wriggle will be applied

Re: Mason Greenwood
Leonard it certainly is the case that he's obviously either denied any offence took place or that he said "no comment" to everything.

It would suggest that he's denied that the video and audio is as incriminating as it appears to be.

Re: Mason Greenwood
It's potentially unlawful to talk about the case which is why 'celebrities' / high profile people generally aren't talking about it.

Bail is not indicative of innocence. In these sort of cases, digital forensics ie analysis of mobile phone communication is standard practice and this often takes weeks if not months albeit you'd think they'd prioritise this given it's so high profile.

Yes you could have a prosecution in this case even if the victim refused to co-operate (though she has been co-operating with Police to date). However, it's harder to secure a conviction with a 'victimless prosecution' and cases are often dropped in such situations.

Released on bail pending further police enquiries. That is interesting

Re: Mason Greenwood
I seem to remember Greenwood tweeting and taking the piss when he did Mark Noble in a cup game with neat turn and poking the ball through his legs. Not directly related but a clear sign of arrogance, ignorance, narcissism that is consistent with the psychology of a bloke who also "needs" to feel power over women. Ok, a bit simplistic but needs a shrink whatever the case and a large dose of humility. Don't know his history, childhood, upbringing but the root causes will be somewhere in there assuming he is guilty of this and other instances of abuse. Perhaps he hates mother?

Re: Mason Greenwood
This shit will probably stick though, whether or not he's found guilty.

As an indicator - just look at how many people still believe Tevez single-handedly kept us up during the great escape?

The BB fucking C were as good as saying so only a couple of weeks ago.

It's lightweight stuff compared to what is happening here but the process and public mindsets are virtually identical.

Crassus 10:45 Wed Feb 2
Re: Mason Greenwood
It’s quite simply against the law for the media to discuss the case now there is an accused party - sub judice
Specifically so given he is a public figure

Whilst the law is frequently an arse, the one thing the ‘system’ will not tolerate is a challenge to its authority, so a distinct no no

Re: Mason Greenwood
Interesting that this other case of people kicking off because Raith Rovers have signed David Goodwillie (Badwillie?) who was called a rapist in a civil conviction is happening at the moment

You do presume (cynically) that there is enough money around for this person to withdraw any complaint (have they actually made one to your actual POLICE yet?) & refuse to cooperate.
Cant see him playing for Man U again given how the media wank over them as Englands favourites.
Maybe he can share a cell with Ryan Giggs in the meantime

Re: Mason Greenwood
OtB is right.

Public figures including footballers very rarely offer an opinion on something that isn't vetted in some way.

If one of his team mates came out and said what we're all saying, it could cost someone millions especially if he's found not guilty* so they're all keeping their mouths shut, as is probably what they've been told to do

*(no, I'm obviously not saying he's not guilty)

On The Ball 10:23 Wed Feb 2
Re: Mason Greenwood
I am merely explaining why public figures aren't having a pop at him in the media - you know, as NEVER happens.

I can do it all I like - he's a cunt and he's clearly guilty - but no-one cares what a bloke on the internet says.

Pretty sure plod can but this type of case becomes challenging
Not unknown for the ‘victim’ to not only retract but deny events come the day
